My name is Amanda Van Orden. I am married to a fabulous man and will celebrated my 5th anniversary this year. We have no children but are currently trying to adopt through LDS family services. We do have the most adorable dog in the world. He is a pug and his name is Winston. He pretty much runs our house, and likes it that way. ;) I work as an RN for the health department and love my job. You couldn't ask for a better nursing job!
Diet and fitness have always been relatively important to me. My mom was always very health conscience and even ground her wheat fresh to make our pancakes and waffles and bread, etc. I always enjoyed being active growing up. It really hasn't been until the past few years that I've stepped it up when Lori convinced me to run a marathon and then do this program with her. It really has helped me to feel great! It's amazing how taking such good care of your body really does pay off.
Some of my interests include running, playing soccer, photography, cooking, gardening, playing the piano, and spending time with my cute husband and our dog....and maybe chocolate too. :) Fun, fun, fun!

Lori
Hi! I'm Lori Aston. I've been married to my awesome husband for 6 years, we have two daughters: a 4 year old, Jaylee, and a one month old, Reagan. We also have a 18 month old Shih Tsu, Wicket, who truly is a 2 year-old toddler trapped in a dog's body. (Wicket + Jaylee= Trouble!) Aside from spending time with my cute family my hobbies include: running, playing the piano, traveling, working out, dreaming about how to redecorate my house and researching. I tend to always be reading more books than I can possibly finish and quite enjoy cooking.
My journey with healthy living started almost a two years ago when I was visiting a dietitian who was helping me overcome some serious weight gain I'd "achieved" by having a thyroid obliteration. I found such great success with her that in a selfish way I wanted to keep doing programs that helped me maintain that healthy lifestyle. Luckily enough my awesome friend Amanda, who was already living healthy, was crazy enough to jump on the bandwagon with me. We started running together and now we run half-marathons, completed the Ogden Marathon May ’06 and are training again for next year’s, woo ooo!
Although I give into my vices sometimes, it really comes down to the fact that I feel so much better when I'm living healthy, eating right, and consistently exercising then I do when I'm eating junk food and not exercising.

P.S. In the picture Amanda is in the orange shirt, Lori in the black.

Hi, my name is Amy and this will be my second time doing Fit in Six, and I really enjoyed the first. I feel very grateful to Amanda and Lori for putting this fun and easy program together that allows you to choose many healthier options in your life rather than just focusing on weight loss. I lost 7 lbs on the first program and have even managed to keep them off during the break (although I can honestly say I reverted a few bad habits) so I am very eager to try again this time and work to do even better. Anywho, I am 25yrs old and work as an RN with Amanda at the health department, and it is a very wonderful nursing job. I live with my boyfriend Tom of almost four years and we have two dog/children boxers - an 18mos female named Bonkers, and a 6 mos old male named Rowdy. And their names certainly do fit. I enjoy movies, music, outdoors, remodeling our house, playing games with family and friends and reading. I wish everyone doing fit in six best wishes and have fun!

Way to go Amy! We've had a month off, too, so even more kudos for not only losing the weight but keeping it off! Welcome back!

Hi everyone! I did the last fit in six program. I lost 9 pounds and came in second. I'm really trying for first this time! My husband and I have our 8 year anniversary next week and we have 3 kids. Guy is 6, Kolt is 3, and Tylie is 10 months. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, scrapbooking, playing games, and exercising! I really like step aerobics. No dogs, or pets at all, here! Kids are enough for me! I'm really excited to be participating again!
