One More Week To Go!
Hello everyone! Welcome to Week 6!!!! Yay! You've made it this far and have almost completed 6 weeks to being fit and feeling great. Congratulations! For this last week of Fit In Six we have two items of business. First is the stipulations for the 2nd mini competition and secondly the last Daily Calendar. First the rules for the second mini competition. This week in order to be able to qualify for the mini competition you must eat all of your fiber every day this week. In addition to eating all of your fiber, in order to qualify you can have no more than 1 white carb in a day. If you do that every day this week, please include in your email to me next Monday that you completed the mini competition successfully! Good luck! Now for the Daily Calendar.
Daily Calendar
Monday - It's Presidents Day! How blessed we are to live in the U.S.A.! Today learn one new thing about one of the founding fathers and share it with someone.
Tuesday - Eat all of your veggies today.
Wednesday - Do a secret act of service today.
Thursday - Do 30 minutes of cardio today.
Friday - Tell someone you love them today.
Saturday - Go to http://fitinsix.blogspot.com and leave your comments and suggestions about the Fit In Six program. We'd love to hear your thoughts on how we can improve!
Sunday - Yay! You made it! Celebrate by eating one thing off the bad food list and don't subtract any points.
Alright everyone. There you have it. Best of luck to you all this week. This has been a close contest and anyone could still win, so work hard this last week! Don't forget to send me your points tomorrow, and good luck!

Half Way There!
Hello everyone! And welcome to Week 4!!!!!! That means you are half way there! Congratulations! Give yourselves a pat on the back! Do you think I could use any more exclamation points? Anyway, I'm so proud of you all for making it this far. I always feel like in projects that if I get half way through, that the last half is easier. I hope you find yourself forming new, healthy habits, and that it's getting easier and becoming more of your routine as you go. :) Thanks to everyone who posted a little about themselves on the blog. I love getting to put some more information with your names other than an email address. ;) If you haven't had a chance to tell us about yourself yet, please do so! I love getting to know you all better. This week we have 2 items of business. First, the Daily Calendar that I know you're all just waiting with bated breath for, and secondly the beginning of our first mini competition. Since you are all champs with the Daily Calendar already, let me explain about the mini competitions. We will do 2 mini competitions that each run 1 week long. We will do one this week and then again in Week 6. The mini competition is just a little extra something to participate in to motivate you to do these healthy things in your life. If you follow the rules for the mini competition all week long, when you send me your points next Monday, also include in the email if you successfully completed the mini competition. Everyone who successfully completes the mini competition will be put into a drawing for a prize for that competition. Clear as mud? Great! Let's get it started. Announcing the mini competition......

Getting To Know You!
This has been one of our favortie parts about running Fit In Six. We love getting to know other people and hearing about what motivates you! So to start out I will introduce myself and then you can click on the comments to do the same! One of our participants, Elisabeth, already posted on the week 3 post. So be sure to click on the comments and check her out!
As you all know my name is Amanda Van Orden, and for those of you that only know Lori, she is one of my bestest friends. We actually met on my first date and then over the years kept running into each other and have forged a really strong friendship. I am married to the love of my life, Jared, and we have been married for 5 1/2 years.
We live in Utah and have the cutesest dog ever.
He is a black pug, his name is Winston and he is my baby! Jared and I are currently trying to adopt a baby and are hoping that we will be placed with a child soon. Currently I work as a nurse at the county health department. In my spare time I enjoy running, playing soccer, reading, photography, organizing and cleaning my house, being with family/friends, and playing the piano...oh, and shopping, much to my husbands dismay. ;) I got involved with Fit In Six through Lori as we participated in a similar competetion a little over a year ago. We liked it so much that we decided to tweak it and keep running it ourselves. I have always enjoyed a fairly healthy and active lifestyle. My biggest weakness is my addiction to chocolate. I have to work REALLY hard at curbing my chocolate needs and Fit In Six defnitely helps with that. I also enjoy Fit In Six because it's a well rounded program and helps me get my body the nutrients it needs, helps motivate me to get the exercise I need and also encourages me to develop my spirituality. Right now I am motivated by Lori's and my goal to run the Ogden Marathon in May. Training makes me focus so much more on this aspect in my life. I'm excited to run it! If you want to know more about me and my random thoughts you are more than welcome to visit my blog at www.punkinsinlove.blogspot.com.
