One More Week To Go!

Hello everyone! Welcome to Week 6!!!! Yay! You've made it this far and have almost completed 6 weeks to being fit and feeling great. Congratulations! For this last week of Fit In Six we have two items of business. First is the stipulations for the 2nd mini competition and secondly the last Daily Calendar. First the rules for the second mini competition. This week in order to be able to qualify for the mini competition you must eat all of your fiber every day this week. In addition to eating all of your fiber, in order to qualify you can have no more than 1 white carb in a day. If you do that every day this week, please include in your email to me next Monday that you completed the mini competition successfully! Good luck! Now for the Daily Calendar.
Daily Calendar
Monday - It's Presidents Day! How blessed we are to live in the U.S.A.! Today learn one new thing about one of the founding fathers and share it with someone.
Tuesday - Eat all of your veggies today.
Wednesday - Do a secret act of service today.
Thursday - Do 30 minutes of cardio today.
Friday - Tell someone you love them today.
Saturday - Go to http://fitinsix.blogspot.com and leave your comments and suggestions about the Fit In Six program. We'd love to hear your thoughts on how we can improve!
Sunday - Yay! You made it! Celebrate by eating one thing off the bad food list and don't subtract any points.

Alright everyone. There you have it. Best of luck to you all this week. This has been a close contest and anyone could still win, so work hard this last week! Don't forget to send me your points tomorrow, and good luck!

This was a fun program. It focused on self-control in so many ways. It helped me to avoid binge-eating and overeating at night. I also felt that it worked on improvement as a whole, not just physically, and I liked that, too. My whole family ate much healthier this six weeks. Sometimes it was hard to find healthy alternatives when eating out...the whole wheat and cheese thing makes it kind of hard. I can't think of one restaurant that serves low-fat cheese. Overall, I really liked the program.

I am so glad that I was able to participate in this program. I definately have more energy and just plain feel better. I have also lost 9 pounds. I can't complain about that! This program helped me to take time to really think about what I was eating. What an eye opener. I have cut portions dramatically and have stopped grazing at night. The only suggestion I would have is that you could let us know every week where we rank. I am very competitive, and if I had been told if I was one of the lowest in terms of point totals, that would have really motivated me. Other than that, I loved being a part of this. Thanks so much to Amanda for all of your work!

This program is the best! I always feel like I've accomplished something good by the time it is over. I agree on Joni's ranking comment, but I guess it is fun to be surprised at the end. Either way, I'm happy this time around because as of today I'm only 1 pound above my goal weight! :)

I really enjoy Fit in Six. IT is fun, easy, realistic and allows to have treats and goodies on occasion. I feel like it is a very well rounded program and focuses on being a healthy person as a whole - spiritually, mentally and physically instead of everyone just always being freaked out about "losing weight!" I also agree that it is nice when we get to find out where we are ranked each week. I know that is also a lot of work - maybe if we got our places every 2 weeks or something. I really like the daily calendar and the mini competitions (even tho I failed both!) Thanks and am looking forward to keeping my good habits to get an even better start next round!!
